It’s summertime and like everyone else, you may be working on that summer body for the holidays (although it may be too late now). As well as getting that body snatched, skincare has also become very important and hit an all-new frenzy over the last couple of months. One of these trends is the Korean 10 step routine especially when removing makeup; Like me, you may find 10 steps to be quite strenuous and wonder if it’s worth all that coin and time. Even though I do not go through this whole process, skincare is very important to me.

So I wanted to share with you a few products that I have used over the years that have helped me attain that “skin glow”. Now, my skin (referring specifically to my face) is not perfect. I have dark under eyes, which deepens even more when I am tired, but the recent product I purchased from Wildseed Botanicals, (created by our very own fusion of cultures) alongside my usual staples have helped even my skin out a great deal.

I will be referring to products that I have tried and tested and have actually become staples. Some of them are not exactly on the cheap side. Most of my face care and body product I purchase from Bodyshop.  I love their products. I have tried a lot of them but always return to the Vitamin E section. I genuinely prefer this due to how dry my skin is especially in the summer.

L'Oreal Paris Pure Clay Glow Scrub

This is the scrub that I usually use when my face needs some good scrubbing with my vanity planet ultimate skin spa cleansing system. I can visibly see and feel my skin being cleaner and pores being cleared.

I use the Vitamin E Gentle Facial wash with or without the pure clay scrub. This is so I can retain moisture back to my face straight away.

I don’t really have a set regimen. I usually go by what I feel my skin needs at the time. On a daily basis, however, I wash my face twice a day (on most days), I use my toner, then essence,  Rana facial serum followed by face cream; Vitamin E Intense Moisture Cream. At night I follow the same steps but only use the oil and/or night cream I am currently using. Sometimes I just use good old trusted coconut oil and that is that.

I have used quite a lot of face mask but then, my three favourites have been The Green Smoothie Face Mask, L’Oreal Paris Pure Clay Bright FAce mask and the one that everyone sleeps on; The Garnier Skinactive Moisture Bomb. This is usually £2.99 but it’s on sale for £1 cheaper for almost 95% of the time in Superdrug. My skin remains soft and smooth after using this mask. It’s cheap and cheerful.

I will definitely recommend all the product that I have mentioned in this post. Most of my friends that have tried it have loved it so far. Bodyshop have a store card which, I actually use and benefit from, and get this you get £5 to spend on your birthday, but have three months to use it. It is not one of those shops you have to spend till their kingdom come to see your point being turned into cash to spend in the shop either.
