What is Your Deepest Fear

Good morning all, I trust that you have had a good week and weekend. I hope you are ready for today’s Monday Morning Motivation. However, I thought I would mix it up a little today. Rather than you reading about my usual dos and don’ts, I thought I would share with you one of my favourite poetry. I first heard this when I watched Akeelah and the Bee. It was and still is such a thought-provoking piece it soon became part of my life when it comes to self-motivation and putting myself out there. Most people relate this poem to Nelson Mandela but it was originally created by Marianne Williamson. I hope it inspires you the same way it has for me.

Our Deepest Fear – By Marianne Williamson

“Our Deepest fear is not that we are Inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. You playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of the lord that is within us. It is not just in some of us it’s in everyone. And as we let our light shine we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear our presence automatically liberates others”.
